Sunday Sauce… I’ll make 4 cans of Tomato Basil Sauce (recipe link below) and 1.5 pounds of Meatballs, and 8 links of store made Italian Sweet Sausage. This will be enough Sauce for 3 Dinners.

Tomato Basil Sauce

Meatloaf mix chop meat 1 1/2 pounds (meatloaf mix is a mixture of beef, pork, and veal)

egg 1

Italian bread crumbs 1/4-1/2 cup

grated parmesan cheese 1/4 cup

ketchup 1/4 cup

milk 2 tablespoons

salt and pepper taste

Italian seasonings 1/2 teaspoon

Italian fresh parsley chopped 1 tablespoon

fresh basil chopped 1 tablespoon

oregano 1/2 teaspoon

granulated garlic 1/2 teaspoon

onion powder 1/2 teaspoon

fresh chopped garlic 1 tablespoon

onion small 1/2 finely minced or chopped

In a mixing bowl add all ingredients starting with only 1/4 cup of bread crumbs and mix thoroughly. If the mixture is to wet add more bread crumbs. Roll Meatballs into balls approximately 2 inches. Example below.

You can pan fry the meatballs or bake in the oven. I cook them in the oven. 350 degrees until fully cooked 165 degrees. Add them to your Sauce or Gravy and let them simmer for 4 hours. Example below.

Enjoy and happy Sunday!
