Homemade Bread Machine Perfect Single Pizza Dough Ball Recipe

Too many of my recipes are for multiple dough balls. So here is the perfect recipe for just one Pizza Dough Ball and your Bread Machine can do all the work…

3 cups high gluten flour or bread flour

1 teaspoon fast active yeast

2 teaspoons sugar

1 teaspoon olive oil

1 teaspoon salt

1.5 cups warm water

Place all ingredients in bread machine, water last. Then press the dough cycle. Set it and forget it… The perfect Single Pizza Dough Ball…

Chicken and Pasta Bake on a Pizza Pie

the healthy Smoothie and Salad coming later, for now its time to stop counting calories…

Ok so we made this pasta dish with fresh pasta a couple of weeks ago. We do not want to use fresh pasta in the pizza oven so we substituted it for dry penne. Follow the recipe link but do not bake. We will bake in the pizza oven on the dough.

Baked Pasta with Chicken Chunks and Melted Mozzarella Cheese

For Pizza Dough recipe best to use high gluten flour or bread flour.

Pizza Dough for Home

Ok so this recipe calls for half a dough ball. The other half we will use later for a Spring Salad over Flat Bread. Roll your dough out in any shape on a clean floured surface. This is a rustic pizza so it can be any shape. Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the rolled out dough on a pizza screen. Spread the olive oil all over the dough with a pastry brush. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon parmesan cheese, 1/4 teaspoon parsley, 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasonings, 1/4 teaspoon granulated garlic. Add your pasta bake to the pie leaving a seasoned crust. Top your pasta with mozzarella cheese. Bake in oven on a pizza stone at 400 degrees till crispy. Or 525 degrees in a pizza oven. Yummy, enjoy! Jason

International Quesadilla for week 4/11/2016

“Supreme Pizza Quesadilla”

For 1 Quesadilla:

large flour tortilla 2

butter 1/2 teaspoon

cooking spray

mozzarella cheese 4 oz. shredded

pepperoni 20 slices

cooked mushrooms 1/8 cup

cooked sliced sweet Italian sausage 1/8 cup

Italian seasonings 1/2 teaspoon

Parmesan Cheese 1/2 teaspoon

On a flat griddle spray with cooking spray and place on 300 degrees. Place butter down on griddle and with a paper towel spread it all over the griddle evenly. Place two tortilla shells on griddle. Split the cheese on both tortilla’s. Add 10 slices of pepperoni to each side. Add sausage to one side and mushrooms to the other. Let then cook about 2 minutes. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese and Italian seasonings on both tortilla’s. Put one side on top of the other so the insides come together. Lower temperature to 250 degrees. Place a plate on the top of the quesadilla for 1 minute. Flip the quesadilla over and place the plate back on the top. Cook one more minute. Finished. Let rest for 1 minute before cutting into 4 triangles. Serve with pizza sauce. Enjoy, Jason.

OMG! Casa did ok with this tonight!!!! I was at a late meeting and this just came out of the oven… It came out great!!!! Hope you try it. This recipe uses one dough ball and yields two 9 inch deep dish pizzas in a pan most of us already own.

Pizza Sauce Recipe, this is more important for a Chicago Style Pizza, the sauce is on top so it needs to be flavorful. Link below.

Ok, a used one 22 oz. pizza dough and cut it in half.  I coated two 9 inch baking pans with olive oil, placed the dough in the pans, and wiped olive oil on the top of the dough. Then I covered each pan with plastic wrap. I placed then in the refrigerator and let them proof for 4 hours. Then I took them out of the fridge and with my hands gently spread the dough up the walls of the pan approximately 1 inch. Then allowed this to sit for 30 minutes. Example below.

Then I added 6 oz. of shredded mozzarella cheese to both pies. I made one plain deep dish and another Italian sausage with parsley and cheese. Approximately 1/2 a pound of sausage out of the casing, I sautéed and drained the fat.  Example of cheese.

After I put the cheese in, I raised the crust up the sides of the pan. Its easier to do when some weight is on the dough. Than I added pizza sauce to both deep dish pizzas. Sprinkled Parmesan cheese and oregano on both pies. Last added the sausage to one pie. I cooked the pies at 475 degrees until golden. This was really great. They came out of the pan so easy as well… Let them rest 5 minutes before taking them out of the pan and cutting them. Enjoy, Jason!
